FIRST LEGO League

Teams meet once a week in the fall, working together at a challenge posted by FLL based on a real-world, scientific topic (past topics include nanotechnology, climate, quality of life for the handicapped population, and transportation).  Teams compete in the challenge by building and programming a robot, using the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 platform, and by developing a solution to the problem posed.  For students in grades 5-7.

SeaPerch Program

Teams meet once a week in the spring and build underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), capable of navigating through an obstacle course in the pool.  While building their SeaPerch ROVs, students learn about submarine design, naval architecture, ocean/marine engineering principles, tool safety, problem solving and teamwork. For students in grades 6-8.

Summer Program at the Duanesburg Y

Science and engineering come to life in our summer program, where students build and program LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robots, remote-controlled cars, carnival rides and much more.  Classes meet at the Duanesburg Y for several weeks over the summer.
