STEAM Night 2017
February 11, 2017
We had a great time at the fifth annual STEAM, held at the Schoharie Elementary School, where students from both Duanesburg and Schoharie had fun
exploring science, technology, engineering, art and math.
Students in grades 4-8 were able to attend sections on topics that interest them, doing everything from playing with nano sand and making ice cream to building rollercoasters and learning about the weather. In our paper circuits section, students had a chance to build working, electronic circuits using copper tape, paper, batteries and LED lights.
In our robotics section, students learned the basics of programming a LEGO MINDSTORMS® robot, writing increasingly-complex programs to guide their robots using ultrasonic and color sensors. Students had fun watching their robots navigate a simple course laid out on the floor.
Thanks to all who attended. We hope to see you all again next year!
