System Override Wraps Up Another Season

On Saturday, January 19th, 2019,  the Albany Academy for Girls hosted the 2019 FTC Challenge Competition. System Override came in at 7th place overall and won the Judge Award. The Judge Award is given for embodiment of team spirit and demonstration of FIRST philosophies of gracious professionalism, "coopertition", and core values.

System Override was also chosen by another team, Scottie DOR, for the Alliance selection in the semi-finals. This means that teams get to pick other teams to collaborate with during their rounds. During the competition, System Override faced many challenging difficulties. For example, their drive motors failed, their autonomous code ran backwards, and their lifting device constantly broke.

However, System Override overcame these challenges by brainstorming ideas with the help of other teams, fixing the motors, and opting not to use the lifter. The team plans to recharge, reflect, and come up a new plan for the off season.
