Building a SeaPerch ROV teaches basic skills in nautical design and encourages children to explore naval architecture and marine and ocean engineering principles. Throughout the program, students will learn basic science and engineering concepts, tool safety, problem solving, and teamwork.

This year’s SeaPerch theme is inspired by coral restoration.  Coral reefs provide coastal protection for communities, habitat for fish, and millions of dollars in recreation and tourism, among other benefits. But corals are also severely threatened by rapidly worsening environmental conditions. There are efforts to help corals recover.
