Summer Program at the YMCA
We're excited to offer another season of fun in our Summer Program at the Y. This year, we'll be offering programs at both the Guilderland and Duanesburg Branches. Check our listings below, and if you have any questions, let us know!
In this two-week class, teams will use basic engineering and science concepts to build underwater, remotely-operated vehicles (ROVs). While building their SeaPerch ROVs, students will learn about submarine design, naval architecture, ocean/marine engineering principles, tool safety, problem solving and teamwork. At the end of the program, teams will compete in the pool, guiding their ROVs through obstacle and finesse courses.

For younger students, or those not familiar with littleBits, we'll have instructions and materials for a variety of projects. Returning students are free to use their imaginations and create something of their own. Basic craft materials will be supplied.
